Bihar Opens Phase 1 of Kacchi Dargah–Bidupur Bridge

The first phase of the Kacchi Dargah-Bidupur Bridge on June 23, 2025. The six-lane structure, being developed by BSRDCL and constructed by L&T Construction and Daewoo E&C, is India’s longest extra-dosed cable-stayed bridge. Spanning the Ganga River, it connects Patna to Vaishali district, boosting north-south connectivity and easing access to Raghopur Diara. The bridge is designed to reduce traffic congestion and support regional economic development. Full commissioning is expected by July 2025.
