Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited has commissioned a second-generation bioethanol refinery in Bargarh with capacity of 100 kilolitres per day. The project utilises lignocellulosic technology to convert rice straw into fuel-grade ethanol and is designed as a Zero Liquid Discharge facility supporting ethanol blending targets.
