BPCL Plans 12 MTPA Refinery in Andhra Pradesh

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL)

BPCL is setting up a greenfield refinery-cum-petrochemical complex in Ramayapatnam, Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh, with a planned capacity of 9–12 MTPA. Land acquisition is progressing with state government support. Engineers India Limited (EIL) has been appointed to complete the configuration study, prepare the Detailed Feasibility Report, and generate data for environmental approvals. This includes Marine Impact Assessment and Coastal Regulation Zone studies, for which bids were floated in May 2025 to support project advancement.
