Sewage Treatment Sector News India
Bokaro Steel is establishing a 30-MGD sewage treatment plant to support zero liquid discharge and expand water-reuse capacity for the BSL Township and plant operations. The facility will treat industrial and domestic wastewater using SBR technology, enabling recycling for steel production and reducing dependence on Damodar River water. The plant is expected to save 4,0005,000 cubic metres of water per hour and cut costs by Rs. 50 crore annually. A solid-waste management system will also be developed.
