CCEA Approves Rs. 6,957 Crore Highway Project in Assam

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved a Rs. 6,957 crore project to widen and improve the 85.675 km Kalibor–Numaligarh section of National Highway 715 in Assam. Executed under EPC mode, the project includes constructing a 34.45 km elevated corridor for wildlife movement between Kaziranga National Park and Karbi-Anglong Hills, upgrading 30.22 km of existing roads, and creating bypasses of 11.5 km at Jakhalabandha and 9.5 km at Bokakhat. The corridor will enhance regional connectivity and link NH-127, NH-129, and SH-35.
