Centre Sanctions Rs. 1,400 Crore Water Grid Project in Andhra Pradesh

The Union government has approved a Rs. 1,400 crore water grid project at Vijjeswaram in West Godavari district under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The allocation is part of Rs. 1,735 crore sanctioned for the district’s water supply and irrigation infrastructure for FY 2025–26. The project will focus on creating a grid-based water distribution network to improve rural and urban water connectivity in the region.
