Centre sanctions Rs 169 crore for Kerala tourism projects

The Union government has approved Rs 169.05 crore under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme for two tourism infrastructure projects in Kerala. Alappuzha will receive Rs 93.17 crore to be developed as a global water tourism destination, while Rs 75.87 crore is allocated to enhance tourist amenities at Malampuzha Garden. Both projects are slated for completion by 31 March 2026.
