Coastal Highway Land Work Begins in Kerala

Land acquisition and structure evaluation for the Thiruvananthapuram segment of Keralas Coastal Highway, connecting Pozhiyoor to Kappil, are underway. The Kerala Road Fund Board targets tendering by December 2025 and construction by January 2026. Initially estimated at Rs. 6,500 crore, the project cost has risen due to delays and land value hikes. Social impact assessments and compensation negotiations are ongoing, ensuring balanced progress on this 620650 km coastal connectivity corridor.
