Construction begins on Dibang multipurpose project

The construction of the Dibang Multipurpose Project in Arunachal Pradesh has started. The project includes the country’s tallest dam at 278 meters. The project will generate 2,880 MW of power and 11,223 million units annually, with flood moderation capacity of 1,282 million cubic meters. NHPC has floated a Rs. 17,069 crore global tender for dam construction. Completion is targeted by 2032.
