CPCL Plans Manali Refinery Capacity Expansion

Chennai Petroleum Corporation is planning a major expansion of its Manali Refinery to increase capacity from 2,10,000 barrels per day to 2,80,000 barrels per day. The company also plans to enter fuel retailing with 300 fuel stations proposed by mid-2028. A feasibility study for the expansion is expected to be completed by October 2026, while plans are also being finalised for a new refinery and petrochemical complex in Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu.
