Delhi approves Rs. 463 crore power line undergrounding

Delhi has approved projects worth Rs. 463 crore to underground high- and low-tension power lines across 125 localities. Works include shifting overhead lines along 26 roads in Chandni Chowk at Rs. 159.47 crore and additional undergrounding projects worth Rs. 267.20 crore. The initiative enhances safety, reliability, and urban aesthetics. It aligns with a broader Rs. 17,000 crore Power System Master Plan to modernise grid infrastructure and meet rising demand.
