EC Sought for JSW Steels New Jaisinghpura North Iron Ore Mine

Environmental clearance is sought for the proposed mining of iron ore from the Jaisinghpura North Block (298.37 ha) with a planned production capacity of 8,83,000 TPA through opencast mechanized mining involving HEMM with deep-hole drilling and a combination of loaders and tippers. The project is a fresh mining lease covering 298.59 ha, granted to JSW Steel Limited. The block was awarded after the e-auction held on 21.08.2023, in which JSW Steel Limited emerged as the preferred bidder.
