GAIL Extends National Gas Grid To Jammu And Kashmir Districts

GAIL (India) Limited is executing a crucial 78 km natural gas pipeline extension to connect Jammu and Kashmir to the national gas grid, terminating at the Jammu Ring Road for subsequent city gas distribution (CGD) integration. The pipeline runs across the Kathua, Samba, and Jammu districts. The comprehensive project scope includes trenching, pipe laying, welding, installation of compressor and metering stations, pressure testing, and valve installations. While works in Kathua and Samba are nearing completion, execution in the Jammu district will commence shortly. The project is targeted to complete by December 2025.
