GMRL Seeks Land for Metro Phase-I Stations

Gurugram Metro Rail has sought HSVP clearance to use over 5,800 sq.m of land for 10 metro stations under Phase-I of its new 15.2 km corridor from Millennium City Centre to Sector-9, including a spur to Sector 101. Phase-I is valued at Rs.1,286 crore and part of a larger Rs. 5,452 crore corridor stretching 28.5 km with 27 stations. Station blueprints have been submitted for key areas. Construction has been delayed by integration of the Rs. 60 crore Bakhtawar Chowk underpass. A casting yard of 5.25 hectares in Sector 33 has been allotted.
