Goa Explores Treated Wastewater for Green Hydrogen Production

The Goa government is partnering with BITS Pilani to utilize treated wastewater from Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) for green hydrogen production. Through the Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA), the initiative aims to develop an optimized electrolysis system with integrated partial purification and high-performance electrocatalysts to boost hydrogen output, energy efficiency, and operational stability.
