HMDA Approves Rs. 100 Crore Golconda–Qutb Shahi Cable Car Project

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has received state approval to construct a 1.5 km overhead cable car linking Golconda Fort and Qutb Shahi Tombs. The tourism project will be implemented under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. Knight Frank has been appointed to conduct a feasibility study and prepare a detailed project report (DPR) within three to four months. The project includes two terminals—one near Golconda Fort’s entrance and the other at the Qutb Shahi Tombs—and is targeted for completion within two years.
