India advances green hydrogen production under National Mission

India is promoting green hydrogen with funding for 3,000 MW of electrolyser manufacturing and awarding contracts for 412,000 tons of annual production. The National Green Hydrogen Mission targets 5 MMT of annual output, 125 GW of renewable energy, ?8 lakh crore in investments, six lakh jobs, and a reduction of ?1 lakh crore in fossil fuel imports, along with abating 50 MMT of greenhouse gas emissions annually. This ambitious initiative is expected to position India as a global leader in the green hydrogen sector and significantly contribute to achieving its climate goals.
