Indore Metro project secures ADB funding for underground corridor
Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited
The Indore Metro Rail Project in Madhya Pradesh has received USD 190 million (approximately Rs. 1,580 crore) in funding from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The project entails construction of an 8.62 km underground corridor with seven stations connecting central Indore to the airport. Equipped with modern commuter facilities and universal accessibility, the system is expected to reduce annual carbon emissions by 12,414 tonne and begin operations by January 2030.
