ITD Cementation to Begin Work on Yellow Line Underground Stretch

ITD Cementation has secured a contract to construct the 1.7-km underground section of Kolkata Metro’s Yellow Line, extending beyond the airport to Birati. The scope includes twin tunnels, the underground Birati station, and subways for Birati and Michael Nagar stations on the Noapara-Barasat corridor. The first phase of the line, from Noapara to Jai Hind (airport), is ready for safety inspections, while construction on the second phase is now set to begin.
