Karnataka Cabinet Approves Major Infrastructure Package

The Karnataka Cabinet has approved a ?3,500 crore development package for North Karnataka to address long-standing regional demands. Of this, ?1,503 crore is allocated for irrigation projects to strengthen the agrarian economy. The Cabinet also cleared three public–private partnership packages worth ?1,715 crore for transportation and processing of construction material within Greater Bengaluru. Additionally, an elevated corridor project in Belagavi costing ?4,500 crore and spanning 3.6 km has been approved to ease traffic congestion.
