Kolkata Metro to Modernise Blue Line AC and Ventilation Systems

Metro Railway plans to invest Rs. 500 crore to upgrade the air-conditioning and ventilation systems on the 16.9 km Rabindra Sarobar–Belgachhia stretch of the North-South (Blue) Line. The project, covering 15 underground stations, will replace outdated environmental control systems with advanced HVAC units and upgrade tunnel ventilation for better fire safety and evacuation.
