Kothapatnam fishing harbour revised to Rs. 442 crore

The fishing harbour project at Kothapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, will be completed by end-2027 at a revised cost of Rs. 441.88 crore, up from Rs. 364 crore. Originally approved in 2022, delays and contract termination led to cost escalation. The Centre had allocated Rs. 80 crore under PM Matsya Sampada Yojana, with Rs. 40 crore released. The upgraded harbour aims to boost fisheries infrastructure and support coastal economic development.
