Solar Sector News India
The Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO) has initiated a significant push toward energy diversification by tendering a 50 MW grid-connected solar PV project to be situated at the Parli Thermal Power Station. This transition from coal-centric infrastructure to renewable assets involves a comprehensive Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) scope, requiring the winning bidder to manage everything from site design and engineering to the installation of the Balance of System (BoS) components. A critical technical feature of the project is its planned integration with the Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) substation, ensuring efficient power evacuation into the state grid.
