Maharashtra’s 1200 MW Malshej Ghat PSP seeks environmental clearance

Environmental clearance is sought for the Malshej Ghat pumped storage project, an off-stream closed-loop system comprising two newly constructed reservoirs and an underground powerhouse, with an installed capacity of 4×300 MW (1200 MW). The project is located in Maharashtra and is designed for large-scale energy storage using reversible pump-turbine operation.
