MCL plans two coal washeries and coal gasification project

Mahanadi Coalfields plans to establish two non-coking coal washeries in Odisha with a combined capacity of 27 MTPA. The projects include a 15 MTPA unit at Balaram-Hingula in Angul and a 12 MTPA facility at Kulda-Garjanbahal in Jharsuguda. Additionally, a coal gasification-based ammonium nitrate plant is being developed at Lakhanpur with commissioning targeted by FY2030.
