Metro Line 3 Stretch to Open in Pune by September
Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA)
PMRDA aims to open a 13-km stretch of Pune Metro Line 3 from Megapolis Circle to Balewadi Phata by September 2025. The 23.3-km metro corridor, developed under a PPP model with Pune IT City Metro Rail, began construction in November 2021. The project includes 23 stations and is divided into two phases. Trial runs are planned on the 14-km Maan to Balewadi Phata section later this year, with overall progress outpacing standard metro construction timelines in India.
