Mumbai Harbour Marina Project Approved

The Government of India has approved development of a world-class marina in Mumbai Harbour to boost maritime tourism and employment. The project will be implemented through a hybrid model, with Mumbai Port Authority investing Rs 470 crore in marine infrastructure and a private operator investing Rs 417 crore in onshore facilities. The marina will accommodate 424 yachts and include a marina terminal, sailing school, maritime tourism centre, hotel, clubhouse, skill development centre, and yacht repair facilities. The bidding process is scheduled to close on 29 December 2025.
