Mumbai Metro Line-8 to connect two airports by 2029

Mumbai’s Metro Line-8, or Gold Line, will link Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport with the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport by 2029. The 34.9 km corridor, being developed under the PPP model at a cost of Rs 20,000 crore, will offer interchange with seven metro lines and enhance multimodal connectivity. The DPR is in the final stages, with tenders expected soon, and the line will run underground from Terminal 2 before becoming elevated along the Sion-Panvel Highway.
