NHPC and APGENCO Form JV for Hydro and Renewable Energy Projects

Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation (APGENCO)

NHPC and APGENCO have established a 50:50 joint venture, APGENCO NHPC Green Energy, to develop hydro and renewable energy projects. The JV will focus on pumped storage hydropower and renewable energy, including solar, floating solar, and wind. Initially, five projects—Yaganti PSP (1000 MW), Rajupalem PSP (800 MW), Gadikota PSP (1200 MW), Aravetipalli PSP (1320 MW), and Deenepalli PSP (750 MW)—will be implemented, with additional projects planned for the future.
