NHPC completes trial run of Parbati-II hydro units

The Parbati-II Hydroelectric Project, located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, is an 800 MW run-of-the-river scheme with four units of 200 MW each. 1 NHPC successfully completed the trial run of Unit #3 on March 26, 2025, adding to the successful trial of Unit #2 conducted earlier. 2 The remaining two units are expected to complete soon.
