NHPC invites bids for 500 MW BESS in Andhra Pradesh

NHPC has issued a tender for setting up 500 MW/1,000 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) connected to the intrastate transmission system in Andhra Pradesh (Tranche II). Developers can avail viability gap funding of Rs 2.7 million/MWh or 30% of the project cost, whichever is lower. Bid submission deadline is March 17, 2025, with opening on March 20.
