Noida Authority to Create 60 New Water Bodies for Monsoon Water Conservation

In an eco-conscious initiative, the Noida Authority has announced plans to develop 60 new water bodies across city parks and green spaces to conserve rainwater during the upcoming monsoon season. The authority’s horticulture department will spearhead this endeavor, focusing on three new parks to be established in Sector 108, Sector 94, and Sector 116. Notable among these is Nakshtra Park in Sector 108, slated to feature a dedicated water body with a budget of ?90 lakh. Additionally, a Japanese park spanning 7 acres in Sector 94 will host a 1.5-acre water body. Further enhancements include water bodies in Sector 116 park and the transformation of the old D-Park in Sector 62. Vandana Tripathi, additional chief executive officer overseeing the horticulture department, affirmed plans for additional water bodies in the city’s major parks, emphasizing a concerted effort towards sustainable water management.
