PGCIL Seeks CERC Transmission Licence For Rs. 1,015 Crore ISTS Project

Power Grid Corporation has applied to CERC for a transmission licence under the regulated tariff mechanism for a consolidated interstate transmission project valued at Rs. 1,015 crore. The scope includes augmentation of transformation capacity at Bhuj-II PS (GIS), provision of ICT augmentation and bus reactor installation, associated substations and line works. The project has a 21-month execution timeline, CTUIL approvals for components, and an interim licence with a final hearing scheduled; public comments have been invited per regulatory procedure.
