Punjab Invests ?2,900 Cr in Water Infrastructure

Punjab Water Supply and Sanitation Department has invested over ?2,900 crore during the year to strengthen water supply and sanitation infrastructure across the state. The investment has enabled completion of major projects, adoption of technology, and improvements in water quality. Punjab has achieved 100% rural household tap water coverage, benefiting over 34 lakh families, with 15 major surface water supply projects serving 1,706 villages in water-quality-affected areas.
