Rowghat-Jagdalpur Rail Line Approved for Bastar Connectivity

The Ministry of Railways approved the Rowghat-Jagdalpur new rail line (140 km) in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, at Rs 351 crore. Funded fully by the Central budget, the project will enhance passenger and freight connectivity between Bastar and Raipur, linking to the MumbaiHowrah corridor. Bastar, currently limited to freight rail access, will benefit from improved integration with northern and western India. Land acquisition is near completion, with construction soon to begin, boosting regional infrastructure and logistics.
