RVNL Wins Traction Upgrade Contract in Salem Division

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL)

RVNL has secured a contract from Southern Railway to upgrade the electric traction system in Salem division. The project involves converting the existing 1×25 kV system to a 2×25 kV system along the Salem Junction–Podanur Junction and Irugur–Coimbatore–Podanur sections. The completion is targeted within 24 months.
