Sharp, the Japanese electronics company, is eyeing a significant investment of $3-5 billion to establish a display fab semiconductor factory in India. These display fabs are crucial for manufacturing televisions and various digital screens. The proposed facility, spanning 1,000 acres, will surpass Sharp’s existing factory in Japan. The company is actively seeking suitable land to develop this expansive manufacturing setup, focused on producing the latest-generation Series 10 displays.
