South Central Railway Advances 130 km/h Speed Upgrade

South Central Railway has received clearance to operate trains at 130 km/h across major routes, including the Golden Quadrilateral and Golden Diagonal corridors. To ensure safety and prevent trespassing, SCR is implementing a Rs 3,200 crore project to install fencing and boundary walls along 4,429 km of track. Of this, 4,019 km will be fenced and 410 km will have boundary walls. Subways are being constructed to facilitate safe passage. About 875 km of fencing has already been completed across divisions such as Secunderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Hyderabad, and Nanded.
