Tata Power Solar Systems has successfully commissioned India’s largest solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) project in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. The project, comprising a 100 MW solar PV plant coupled with a 120 MWh utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), was awarded on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) in December 2021 for Rs 945 crore. The scope of the project included engineering, design, supply, construction, erection, testing, operation, and maintenance.
