Telangana Fast-Tracks Key Irrigation Projects Under Revised Timelines

The Telangana government has prioritised completion of key irrigation projects, including the Tummidihatti barrage under Pranahita-Chevella, the Srisailam Left Bank Canal tunnel, and restoration of Medigadda, Annaram, and Sundilla barrages. Technical evaluations for Tummidihatti’s canal alignment will conclude by October 22, while the SLBC tunnel is targeted for completion by December 2027. The projects are being coordinated with IIT and the Chief Design Organisation for technical supervision.
