THDC Begins COD Process for Second 250 MW Tehri Unit

THDC India has initiated the commercial operation declaration for the second 250 MW unit of its 1,000 MW variable speed pumped storage plant in Tehri, Uttarakhand. This is Indias first and largest variable speed PSP by any CPSE. The first unit began operations in June 2025.
