TPREL to Set Up BESS Project in Kasaragod

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL)

Tata Power Renewable Energy has been selected by NHPC to develop a 30 MW/120 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (KSEBL) at Mulleria, Kasaragod district. Valued at Rs. 110 crore, the project will help store excess energy for optimized use. TPREL was chosen through an international bidding process, with NHPC acting as the implementing agency under the Ministry of Power’s BESS initiative.
