Adventure and Water Sports Planned at Lakes in Karnataka

The Karnataka Lake Conservation and Development Authority (KTCDA) has approved a tourism initiative to launch adventure and water sports activities like boating and kayaking at select lakes. In the first phase, the project will cover seven lakes in Shivamogga district and one in Bidar. Private agencies will operate these services under contract through a tender process and will be allowed to collect user fees.
