River Project at Vadodara

The Vishwamitri River project in Vadodara has entered its final phase, with completion targeted within one year. The project has a budget of Rs. 1,200 crore and incorporates recommendations of the Navalawala Committee after the 2024 floods. Key works include a gated check dam near the Anwa reservoir, diversion of water from Ajwa reservoir to the Jambuva River, and construction of new upstream check dams. Most pre-monsoon works are completed, with progress under regular monitoring.
