Himachal Allocates Rs. 358 Crore For Kullu Water And Disaster Works

The Himachal Pradesh government has sanctioned capital allocations totalling Rs. 358 crore for Kullu district infrastructure comprising Rs. 200 crore for drinking water improvements and Rs. 158 crore for disaster mitigation and flood-protection projects. Project elements include water-treatment upgrades, distribution network augmentation, reservoir and pumping installations, flood-control embankments, river training works, early-warning systems, and protective civil engineering structures completed under defined design and construction contracts. The works cover implementation schedules, procurement of materials and contractors, and monitoring arrangements to strengthen water security and hazard resilience across priority locations in Kullu district.
