Andhra Pradesh plans 1000 MWh battery storage programme

Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited

Government of Andhra Pradesh plans to develop large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems with a total capacity of 1000 MWh by January 2027. The projects will be integrated with solar and wind power plants to store surplus renewable energy and supply electricity during peak demand periods.
