Approval Granted for Vizhinjam Port-Balaramapuram Underground Rail Project

The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the underground railway line linking Vizhinjam port to Balaramapuram railway station has received approval. Konkan Rail Corporation is tasked with constructing this 10.76 km rail route, projected to cost Rs 1400 crore. Concurrently, Balaramapuram railway station is undergoing renovation as part of this comprehensive infrastructure initiative.
