BHEL Supplies Traction Transformers for Vande Bharat

Bharat Heavy Electricals has commenced supply of semi-high-speed underslung traction transformers for the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train project. The first batch has been dispatched from the Jhansi unit for final assembly in Kolkata. BHEL’s Bhopal unit has also developed traction motors for the project. Additionally, the Jhansi plant has secured an order for rail borne maintenance vehicles.
