Gujarat State Electricity Corporation has proposed capacity enhancement of the Gandhinagar Thermal Power Station from the existing operational 630 MW (3 × 210 MW, Units 3, 4 and 5) to 1,430 MW by installation of one 800 MW supercritical unit (Unit 6) in place of the demolished 2 × 120 MW units (Units 1 and 2) at Village Pethapur, Taluka and District Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
