CCL to Add Two New Mines, Boosting Annual Output by 12 MT

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL)

Central Coalfields plans to start production at two new coal mines this fiscal year, aiming to increase capacity by 10–12 million tonnes annually. The Kotre Basantpur coking coal block, with a 5 MT peak capacity, is set to begin operations by October. While the 15 MTPA Chandragupt open cast mine is expected to commence production by March 2026, the initiative supports CCL’s target of crossing 110 MT production this year and reaching 150 MT by 2030.
